Mr. Estes has over 13 years of experience in professional archaeology. His technical expertise centers on prehistoric lithic technology, and is skilled at project management and direction, field supervision, and GIS technologies. He has considerable experience with Section 106 and Section 110 requirements on federal and public lands in Nevada, California, Oregon, Utah, and Idaho. He has served as field supervisor and field archaeologist on projects under the review of the Bureau of Land Management, the Bureau of Reclamation, the United States Forest Service, and the National Park Service and has authored numerous technical reports submitted to these agencies. Hhe has completed a number of transportation-related projects throughout Nevada and California including the survey and inventory of county roads, railroads, highways, toll roads, trails, and bridges and he is also very experienced in prehistoric and historic archaeology of Nevada and the Great Basin. Mr. Estes meets Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards for Archaeology and serves as the co-director of ASM’s Reno office.
