SARAH STRINGER-BOWSHER, M.A.Project Historian EDUCATION
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCEMs. Stringer-Bowsher received her master’s degree in History through the Public History Program at Arizona State University. Ms. Stringer-Bowsher has experience in research in small and large repositories, and writing high-quality deliverables for various audiences in both private and government sectors. She spent a year as a Research Intern with the Salt River Project (SRP) conducting land use histories, contributing to a Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) report and corporate heritage projects for the Salt River Valley in Arizona, and answering historic inquiries posed for corporate operations. As a result of working with SRP, she is familiar with water infrastructures and their necessity for stability and growth in the West. Additional experience includes museum interpretation, museum-use analysis, and conducting research for the nomination of a historic Lillian Rice house in Rancho Santa Fe, California that became a San Diego County Historical Landmark. Ms. Stringer-Bowsher applies her knowledge of history and professional experiences to varied cultural resources projects for ASM Affiliates’ clients in California and Arizona, including several projects for Reclamation. She maintains research interests in social history, cultural landscapes, and water development projects.
