PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Ms. Gunderman has worked in many areas of field archaeology, from construction monitoring and survey projects to
data recovery of prehistoric and complex historic sites. She has worked throughout southern California including
participation in field projects in San Diego, Orange, Imperial, San Bernardino, and Tulare counties in California
and in the Chesapeake region in Virginia.
Her experience also includes laboratory analysis, working with GIS databases
and generating maps. She has assisted with CEQA compliance and with various other state and federal laws. Ms. Gunderman
has worked closely with Native American Tribal members, government agency representatives, construction personnel,
and environmental management professionals. Additional experience includes creating and updating State of California
site record forms, writing archaeological site synopses, and compiling technical reports. She has also conducted record
searches at the regional CHRIS Information Centers in San Diego, California State University Fullerton, and the
University of Riverside.
Her interests focus on
prehistoric and historical archaeology, especially culture contact areas within the western United States.
