PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Dr. Barker has more than 35 years of experience as a professional archaeologist.
He is a former BLM State Archaeologist (1988-2006) and worked for BLM's California Desert District from 1986-1988.
Dr. Barker was responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing federal policies and regulations affecting
cultural resources and for training and advising BLM staff members in CRM policies.
He has published widely on archaeological and ethnographic issues and authored the Nevada BLM's Cultural Resources
Inventory General Guidelines (4th ed.). Dr. Barker received BLM's Sustained Performance Award in 1992, 1999, 2000,
and 2006. |
