MICAH J. HALE, Ph.D., RPAPrincipal EDUCATION
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCEMicah Hale earned his Ph.D. in archaeology from University As a Principal at ASM, Dr. Hale manages all aspects of projects from start to finish. Dr. Hale has experience directing large scale inventories, significance evaluations, and data recovery programs across California for clients such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, SWDIV, Caltrans, the University of California, NOAA, and various local agencies. He has directed and participated in a number of projects on various military installations including Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center at 29 Palms, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, Naval Base Point Loma, San Clemente Island Naval Installation, Yuma Proving Grounds (Arizona), Concord Naval Weapons Station, Edwards Air Force Base, and Vandenberg Air Force Base. Outside of California, Dr. Hale has directed projects in Oregon, Nevada, and Arizona, with additional academic experience in northwest Greenland. Dr. Hale’s dissertation research explored socioeconomic divergence among hunter-gatherers, focusing on coastal southern California. Using formal economic models, his dissertation clarified the conditions in which hunter-gatherer adaptive change can be discontinuous. ![]() |
