KARI SPRENGELER, B.A.Associate Archaeologist EDUCATION
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCEKari Sprengeler has 7 years of experience as a professional archaeologist in the Great Basin, California, and the Midwest. Ms. Sprengeler has worked in all aspects of field archaeology, from construction monitoring and survey projects to data recovery of complex prehistoric and historic sites. She has worked for private companies assisting clients with CEQA compliance, compliance with various state and federal laws, authoring technical reports, collecting and processing GIS data, and training and supervising workers both in the office and in the field. Additionally, she has assisted in the management of cultural resources on federal land, including the day-to-day management of cultural resources on a military installation, where she co-authored and edited Section 106 compliance reports, assisted military and civilian personnel in compliance with federal laws, and consulted with local Native American tribal members. Currently, Ms. Sprengeler is working with GIS, co-authoring reports, and serving as a crew leader and crew member on projects for ASM’s Reno Office. She is presently working on projects on BLM, USFS, military, and private lands. Ms. Sprengeler’s interests include contact period archaeology and early settlement of the continental United States. |
