PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. Moslak received his Bachelors from the University of Utah in 1991 and has accrued 20 years of professional archaeological experience.

Over his career Mr. Moslak has worked on over 150 projects, documented over 500 cultural resources, surveyed more than 50,000 acres, identified over 280,000 bones, and authored or coauthored over 50 technical reports.

In Utah he developed a love of fieldwork and wide-ranging interests in the natural sciences. He served three years as Curation Assistant for the Utah Museum of Natural History, two years on Kern River Pipeline through Utah and Wyoming, six months in the office of the Utah State Archeologist, and 19 additional field projects throughout the Great Basin and Colorado Plateau.

Mr. Moslak moved to Southern California in 1992 where he spent five years on Metropolitan Water District’s Eastside Reservoir Project, variously serving as Field Technician, Field Supervisor, Field Cartographer, and Faunal Analyst.

He joined ASM in 1998 as Field director and Faunal Analyst and has since worked on over 120 individual projects in a variety of roles. In his primary role as Field Director he has led fieldwork of over 50 projects.

His current research interests include hunter-gatherer subsistence and settlement studies, faunal analysis and exploitation strategies, mammology, biogeography, cartography, Quaternary geomorphology, and stratigraphy.
