PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Ms. Potter has had seven years of experience in archaeology and
cultural resource management in California, Florida, Belize and
Hawaii and has surveyed, excavated, and recorded numerous
prehistoric and historic sites.
In 2000, she attended University of Central Florida
in Orlando
Florida, with emphasis on Mesoamerican archaeology. As a part of the
Mesoamerican program she participated in excavations and evaluations
of the Caracol site located in Belize, Central America. She has
written many survey reports and has sorted and analyzed artifacts
from various excavations.
Her interests in archaeology and research
have focused on mainly coastal population from the east coast to
Hawaii. Ms. Potter has experience in field excavation in Belize
with the Mayans and in Florida on the coast with Prehistoric and
historic archaeology.
Ms. Potter has conducted surveys and excavations
for numerous federal, state, county, and city agencies, including
the United States Navy, the United States Marine Corps, the Bureau
of Land Management, California State Parks, the County of San Diego,
and the City of San Diego.
