ASM Affiliates, Salt Lake City Office, is seeking a Cultural Resources Specialist who will be responsible for providing archaeological and ethnographic services to federal and state agencies. The employee will be responsible for preparing portions of proposals and budgets, fieldwork, client contact, and technical report preparation. This position will be directly supervised by the Principal Investigator. The candidate must have strong writing skills and be willing to conduct library research for archaeological and ethnographic reports. A candidate’s professional experience must exhibit a strong understanding of cultural resource laws and regulations. Experience in working with Section 106 and 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act and NEPA compliance is required.
Preferred qualifications for this position include a graduate degree in Anthropology, with a specialization in the archaeology and ethnography of the intermountain western United States and at least 3 years of experience in cultural resource technical report writing and project management involving Section 106 compliance and Section 110 agency management responsibilities. Familiarity with the federal agencies is highly preferred. Salary will commensurate with education and experience, full benefits package.
