PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. Iversen has more than 10 years of experience in cultural resource management in the Pacific Northwest Coast, Plateau, Great Basin, and Southern California. His professional interests include California history and prehistory, lithic analysis, and southern California coastal hunter-gatherer mobility patterns during the late Holocene.

Mr. Iversen earned his M.A. in Anthropology with an emphasis on Archaeology, specifically lithic analysis of southern California coastal archaeological sites. He has supervised and conducted archaeological field reconnaissance, testing and data recovery excavations, construction monitoring, and laboratory analysis.

He has worked closely and successfully with Native American Tribal Members, government agency representatives, construction personnel, and environmental management professionals.

Mr. Iversen is the lead author of more than 40 cultural resource management technical reports, and has co-authored more than 100 technical reports. He has analyzed the lithic artifacts for six archaeological projects, and written portions of technical reports documenting the results of analyses.

Mr. Iversen is certified as an archaeological monitor for the City of San Diego. As Assistant Laboratory Director at ASM Affiliates, Mr. Iversen is responsible for processing, analyzing, and curating artifact collections, as well as directing field projects, writing portions of technical reports, and directing laboratory personnel.
