PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Ms. Giambastiani has been an Associate Archaeologist for ASM since 2004 and is currently pursuing her M.A. from the University of Nevada, Reno.  Ms. Giambastiani has technical expertise in prehistoric and historic archaeology, field supervision, lithic analysis, graphic design, and GIS.  She has served as staff archaeologist for the Tahoe National Forest and Yosemite National Park as well as lithic analyst and staff archaeologist for private consulting firms.

 Ms. Giambastiani has considerable experience in conducting archaeological studies for compliance with Section 106 and CEQA requirements in California and Nevada.  She has been field director and field archaeologist for survey, testing, and data recovery projects under the review of the Bureau of Land Management, Department of Defense (including the U.S. Air Force, Marine Corps, and Navy), U.S. Forest Service, National Park Service and Caltrans.
