PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

As a field archaeologist, Andrea Catacora has worked on both local and large-scale government-based projects, surveying and excavating prehistoric and historic sites in various regions of the Great Plains, the Southwest, and the Great Basin. She was also a monitor for the Reno Transportation Rail Access Corridor Project, during the construction of the shoofly and proposed railway.

As a laboratory analyst, Ms. Catacora has identified the technological, morphological and functional attributes of various lithic assemblages, including groundstone and assisted in formulating a system for cataloging the data and artifacts from a site in northeastern Nevada and numerous sites in southern Arizona as part of the At&T NexGen Core/Fiber Optic Project.
