ALICE E. BREWSTEREDUCATION
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCEMs. Brewster has participated in a wide range of environmental resource studies and has produced numerous GIS databases from a wide variety of sources. She has spent hundreds of hours mapping biological and cultural resources for inclusion into GIS databases. She is well versed in field mapping techniques, the use of remote sensing, and has been using ESRI’s GIS software package ARC/INFO since 1992. She has also published a number of articles and given public and professional talks on the subject. As the President of pan.gis, and former GIS Administrator at ASM Affiliates, Inc., Ms. Brewster has produced and updated numerous small and large scale GIS databases. She developed and continues to update GIS databases for USMC Camp Pendleton’s archaeological sites, survey areas, ground cover, burn areas, and prehistoric site location prediction surfaces. She has produced GIS databases for the Naval Submarine Base, San Diego, the proposed Fort Irwin expansion, Fluor Corporation, Jamul Quarry, the BLM, and numerous other small projects. Working with software developers and consultants, she managed the creation of a user-friendly ArcView-based GIS turnkey system for Camp Pendleton which is linked to a relational database and contains site information, site records, and site sketch maps. |
