INNOVATIVENew Solutions To Old ProblemsASM employs innovative technologies that improve and update study methods. Our new strategies overcome challenges, allowing us to focus on data quality, rather than data quantity, thereby saving our clients time and money. ASM developed and implemented a unique and effective strategy of using large-scale mechanical exploration to identify deeply buried cultural deposits. Buried sites, otherwise undetectable using standard archaeological techniques, were easily identified using this modified method of geological coring. Another example of ASM’s innovation is U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton’s Archaeological Geographical Information System (GIS). This customized ArcView application allows Base planning and environmental staff to better manage their cultural resources. Designed by ASM as a user-friendly, turn-key system, our GIS allows personnel to quickly perform complex queries, eliminating the need for paper maps and archaeological records. Our system was fully functional five years before a similar California state system, and is proving to be the model for other local, state and federal governments. FEARLESSASM Takes On Challenges That Most Companies Shy Away FromArchaeology often involves sensitive issues. Few companies offer the level of sensitivity to the resources, interest groups, and stakeholders that ASM does. We are proud that we’ve gained the level of trust with our clients, agency staff, and with Native American groups that allows us to work on some of the most sensitive sites and projects in the region. In many instances, we’ve been contracted directly by Native American tribal groups. Recently, ASM was called upon to take over an extremely sensitive project after the original contractor defaulted following the expressed dissatisfaction of the Native American community with the proposed handling of 14 burial sites discovered during construction monitoring. ASM’s forensic services, as well as comprehensive and respectful consultation with Native American representatives, provided the foundation for successful reburial of all human remains and funerary items. FOCUSEDFocused For Over A Quarter CenturyWhile our competitors have come and gone or have been absorbed into larger, multi-service environmental firms, ASM’s sole focus has remained centered on providing our clients with quality CRM. After 30 years in the relatively young environmental business, we have a long list of satisfied, repeat clients who can attest to our professionalism. |

BUDGET CONSCIOUSHigh Quality Doesn’t Mean High CostOur existence depends on providing you with the highest quality services at the most competitive rates. ASM views each project from many angles to assess the services necessary to successfully complete the job. We develop strategies to expedite work without sacrificing quality. We’re able to dedicate our full resources to a project in the most efficient manner possible, saving both time and money. ASM has often been called upon to evaluate our competitor’s proposals. In most cases, ASM has been able to provide the same services at a much lower cost by reassessing the compliance requirements, level of effort, or proposed method for accomplishing the same work. |
